If you wanna know why that whole grunge scene wore flannels, it’s because Seattle said so! The back-and-forth weather there really does make the flannel the best possible investment. My dear friend Emily (my creative co-hort in such esteemed-and-now-defunct projects as Pyradical and Thunderbird; and the soon-to-be-formed “Sci-Fox” and “Trees") showed me some sights, most importantly Discovery Park. I really connected with the trees there—yes, I’m an unabashed tree-hugger, and yes they speak to me, and yes that’s a crazy sci-fi thing in the middle of nowhere…
