... nothing short of MAGICAL!
A huge, HUGE thanks to the rockers of Tulsa, Oklahoma-- I don’t know what they put in the water over there, but the vibe on Monday was nothing short of MAGICAL! These peeps r-a-w-ked their everlovin’ faces off and really inspired us to bring it. Chris Cornell, who has been consistently, utterly amazing, had the best show I’ve seen all tour. Cain’s Ballroom, where we played, has been around since 1924 and was a real inspiration. Portraits of legendary country singers line the wall of the main room, and there are posters of every country act imaginable all over the hallways. Yee-haw!
And I met a little girl named Anna who is 6 or 7 years old (I think)-- and we had the best time. It was her first rock concert ever! She’s a drummer and wants to learn guitar next and is most likely a little musical genius that we’ll hear about sometime down the road. We actually have met quite a few rocker kids out here at these shows-- it’s comforting to know there’s a whole generation of kids out there whose parents are cool enough to let them rock right outa the womb!
Speaking of amazing venues, last night we got the chance to play The Fillmore in Denver. WOW. There are photos everywhere of all the great acts (new and old) that have come through there-- all the stars in my eyes got me nervous! It was a great show though, and we love it here-- from Denver to Fort Collins to Boulder, to Colorado Springs to Red Rocks, the Coloradans have been very kind to us this year!
Anyhoo, Happy Thanksgiving to everybody! We’ve got a couple more shows in Aspen tonight and Vegas on Friday, and then it’s back home for holidaysnugglefuntime. We’ll be getting lots of new stuff worked out as well, so that we can kick off the New Year-- and our New Year’s Eve show in NYC-- with some brand new face-ROCKing tunes. Life is good!

Hey EG - glad you had a good tour and you’re heading home for a well deserved rest. Continue to be blessed. Much love!! Look forward to hearing some new tunes…
